Other countries including Mexico and Canada have sucessfully treated patients with other means other that chemothrapy and radiation. Is it true that there was once a cure called 714-X that was silenced and put to rest by governments protecting cancer billion dollar "businesses"?
Our cousin was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer and it had already spread to the brain. She went through radiation but refused chemo. I think she did take some sort of pill for chemo… its hard to say because everyone is so secretive. After the radiation they found no trace of cancer in the brain and the lung cancer was shrinking (3 months ago). Now- the cancer is back in three parts of the brain and she has lumps on her neck and back. She is now going to go with the chemo and she is in a lot of pain. Can someone tell me what is most likely going to happen?
My father in his early 50′s got diagnosed with Colon cancer stage 3. Had surgery about 7 weeks ago. VERY little has spread past his colon wall to his lymph nodes (less than 3)
His chemo is about to start in 4 days through a PICC line. The medicine in the chemotherapy is Oxaliplatin, Leucovotin, 5-Fluorouracil insfusion.
He’ll be in chemo for 2 months, the radiation with chemo and then chemo… Is this kind of treatment good for this stage of colon cancer? More information on the drugs?? Could he possibly find another treatment? What is the best thing for him to do right now?
My Dad has prostate cancer, that said it was at a stage 8 and he has been taking hormone shots for several months and now they say its at level 0. In may they want to start radiation. Will this get rid of the cancer or will it come back? The doctors say it will get rid of it but it seems they always tell people that no matter what. What is the survival rate?
I received radiation for 2 months in 2003.Since that time my PSA COUNT is an average of 0.6.
I this within normal limits and is not supposed to drop lower than that after treatment?
My dad got diagnosed with lung cancer last year, unfortunately some of the cancer had split off and made its way to the brain. He underwent radiation on his head and has completed numerous rounds of chemo to which the lung cancer has subsided by 25%. However, he is now back in the hospital because he fainted and has more brain lesions. They have put him on steroids to decrease the sweeling, just wondering what the outcome is looking like.
What are the chances for survival since I never felt any improvement in my condition, radiation made a mess in my mouth, all burned out, never able to eat solids again, 3 dentures that never fit. What are my hopes, Drs. say this time treatment will be different. Any help?
My grandma was just diagnosed with lung cancer and was given 3 to 9 months to live. She has chosen to not undergo any radiation/chemo therapy treatment, and just wants to remain comfortable. I was wondering what type of herbal and natural remedies there are that could help her feel comfortable, and also may help fight the cancer to prolong her life. The only thing that is bothering her is a deep chest cough, because the tumor has caused part of her lung to collapse, otherwise she is in no pain. Thank you.
He is 65 and he has not started his chemo or radiation yet.I thought that loss of appetite was because of treatment .Since he was only diagnosed last week he hasnt begun treatment yet.I just want to know if this is part of cancer.I not really asking an in depth question just curious is this a normal part of lung cancers progression?
I took my father to the hospital for back pain and leg weakness and was told it is prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. Spine, hips, legs, ribs, shoulders etc. they have done radiation on his spine and surgery to releive the pressure causing leg weakness, and are treating him with hormones. What do yu think his life expectancy is? I am getting no where with doctors. He is in Palliative care at this time. What does it all mean?
