Will going on medicine stop the progression of this type of leukemia

I called the Medi-cal Office; they asked me to provide them with my dad’s recent medical documents, but my dad hasn’t seen doctors for long. Is a doctor’s statement saying my dad would only have six-month life enough for applying this medi-cal? Does anyone know if the lung cancer medicine called Tarceva is covered by Medi-cal? Thank you very very much!

I would also like to know what alternative medicine options are available that may be of help.

My father has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Because of his age, he is not a candidate for surgery. So his local Dr has started him on hormone therapy to decrease the levels of testosterone. He gave him a hormone shot to be repeated every 4 months, plus ordered a prescription which will costs over 0.00 per month. My father does not have prescription coverage with Medicare, only the VA covers medicine, but only if he sees a VA doctor, which is very far away. He, of course, is on a fixed income so he cannot afford 0 per month. We are making an appointment to go to the VA. In the meantime, does anyone know of any all natural supplement or treatment that can assist in the lowering of testosterone levels? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently in remission with my leukemia. I have a 1 year old who is going to turn 2 soon. I really want another child but am afraid of the consequences of stopping my meds. I would have to stop my meds in order to get pregnant and would not be able to continue my meds until my second trimester. Going off my meds can mean that my cancer will come back stronget than the medicine can tolerate and I could die. What should I do? I really want my son to have a sibling to grow up with.

It is "standard" practice in Germany and is in experimental stages here. Is Germany technology and medicine ahead of USA?

Should this be adapted in the USA?

If your chance of survival is better would you go to Germany like Farraha did?

I recently went in to the doctor because I had a persistent cough. It started at the beginning of summer, lasted for about 6 weeks and went away for about a month. Then my cough came back and I went to the doctor for it again. They took a chest x-ray as well as a CVC. They ultimately concluded that it was walking pneumonia and sent me off with Pulmicort Flexhaler. After a couple of days I wasn’t getting better so I went back to the doctor and they gave me a z-pack, some cough medicine, and prednisone(sp?). Although my cough seems to be getting better I am still having small chest pains and it is igniting my fears of lung cancer. My question is, although I was diagnosed with walking pneumonia, would the doctor have been able to tell if a lung tumor was present in my x-ray or could there have been a mistake?
