My son-in-law, 47 years old, was just diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and is presently experiencing chemotherapy. In general, his wife is wondering if a life insurance for cancer victims is a possibility. He was given 6 months to one year to live. It has metasized to the liver and lung.

my mother has colon cancer and was treated for five weeks with chemotherapy capsules. She finished her five week treatment and discovered that her cancer spread to her liver. She is off treatment for a month and will start her iv chemotherapy in a month. I heard that there is something called "Titano" en Mexico that allows her to have a spot for her injection to go in without them having to poke her and stuff. Any idea what it can be ? What is the best hospital we can attend in L.A that accept medical. Harbor UCLA is not working for us atm the app. dates are to far from each other i feel like we are letting time pass by (btw i have the iv question because my mom goes through pain everytime they inject her because they cant find her vains) thank you.

My grandmother was just diagnosed and it has spread to her liver and her adrenal glands. Is this considered stage 4?

spleen, and something is wrong with your liver also. I know this is pretty vague. Dr. Said nephew might have leukemia and these are his symptoms. I was just wondering what else it could be.

My brother in law has just been diagnosed with cancer of the Lung, Liver, and Bone. Does not sound good at all. The Dr. said he was going to start him on a regimen of those two drugs. I googled them and it seems like individually they have low side effects. I wonder if anyone here has taken them or knows someone who has taken them?

The patient has been undergoing her 3rd chemotherapy and had undergone radiation for 30 days. However, she is losing her appetite and had undergone 2 surgeries to remove water inside her liver. She would not eat.

Today, they hospitalized her. The doctors told us that her condition is terminal and she is dying.

Would we ask for 2nd opinion and is there any medication out there?

We live in the Philippines.

My grandmother went into the hospital a couple weeks ago with confusion and incoherent behavior, they found her electrolites were low, and had to raise them slowly.

She came back into her right mind, and during the tests they did in that time they found she had cancer in her liver and lungs.

Tonight she went back into the hospital (after being home 2 days) far more confused and much more violently incoherent than before. I am assuming this is because her electrolites must be low again. (I dont know why or how they could drop so fast). The doctors have told us she has stage 4 cancer, and basucally to just keep her comfortable until she passes.

Theyre doing more tests to find out how long that will be, but does anyone have any idea? The thought of her wasting away for months is horrid, even weeks in this state is more than i can handle.

People should just lay down and die. This wasting away crap is bullshit.
Wouldnt repeated severely low electrolyte levels suggest renal failure?
She doesnt want treatment from what I understand. Iam sure that will make a difference. Just the fact that the doctors have basically said "take her home and let her die" says a lot.
