The more complicated medical words like lymphocyte and cytogenetics there are, the better. It’s acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and the diagnosed has less than a month to live. Also tell the diagnosed that he has to go for this check-up and that X-ray, whatever. Also talk about the treatment he has to go through, and whatever that is necessary for the diagnosed to know. Try to sound as professional as possible. Thanks! (I need this for a story I’m writing)

My friend has had leukemia for a long time now and I can tell he’s beginning to lose hope. For a while, I haven’t been able to say anything comforting to him without sounding awkward or stupid. I just want to be there for him but I don’t know how. If someone could please help me out, that would be great. Thanks!

(P.S. we’re both seventeen)

OK, I’m writing a story about a girl who gets leukemia. But I was wondering, does she have to stay in the hospital for the entire time she has cancer? I thought it depended on how sick you were, but I really have no clue. Help please? If you have any other info on leukemia, I’d greatly appreciate it. I think I have a pretty good grasp on what it is, and I think I understand how it is treated, but obviously, I’m not an expert! Thanks so much!

Someone told me they have leukemia and that dialysis was part of their treatment. My dad had leukemia and I don’t remember him ever dialysis. Doctors please reply.
I think this person is trying to get sympathy from an otherwise unsympathetic audience. I think they are lying. Just makes me dislike them even more.

My husband had acutel lymphoblastic leukemia, the oncol. said his age of 57 and eosinophilia that he needed a bone marrow transplant, I know esosinophils fight infection, but I don’t know what that type of leukemia means and he passed due to complications with transplant, does anyone know what that means related to leukemia being worse, never got to ask him. Thank you, phyllis

the doctor wants me to get a test done this wednesday where they take bone marrow.. why would they order such a painful test before they would have my results back from my blood work. wouldnt they know if i had leukemia from the blood test first and then order further tests?
i have had blood work done several times the past 6 months and my white blood cell count has always been super high. what test actually makes it official??

We were told there is nothing else that can be done, but why is so swollen in the face, and lies mostly in the featal position, hands drawn, keeps one eye shut, sounds a bit much for leukemia????
