It’s bad enough to smoke one, but some people smoke like there’s no such thing as lung cancer… like the commercials are only talking foolishness. don’t they care about their health?
this is for a school project, so don’t worry i am not in any kind of health trouble like that. what are the symptoms of child/teen leukemia? thanks!
My mother has been smoking for about 17 years. About a year ago, she said she stopped. She did for about a month, and then started again. Now even though I don’t see her, I can definitely tell she smokes at least twice a day. I’m very worried for her health. So what are her chances of getting cancer? Btw, she’s 46. Thanks.
My father in law, 74, was just diagnosed with a recurrence of lung cancer, two spots in one lung and one in the other. His original cancer was about 4 years ago, limited to one lobe, surgically removed. He is diabetic, very overweight, high blood pressure, just not the picture of health overall anyway. He will have a PET scan to check for distance metastesis on Wednesday. I am pretty worried about his chances. Anyone know how ‘beatable’ a recurrence of lung cancer in an older guy, former heavy smoker, in marginally fair overall health is?
My mate is 64 and has had the seed implants for over 10 years. When we have oral sex, we want to know if his semen is dangerous to my health? The cancer semen or the seed implants.
Thank you
Last Monday my grandmother had to get chest x-rays and they found a mass — The doctors didnt like the way that it looked so she had an appointment with a different doctor to discuss things, which was today — I just found out that she has Emphysema and Monday will get a bronchoscope biopsy to find out if she she lung cancer.
I am very scared and concerned for what she may have to go through in the future is she does have lung cancer. It is bad enough having emphysema, but that and cancer. She also has diabetes and is not in the best of health.
Yes she did smoke for quite a bit of her life and did quit and has for 8 years now.
I just dont want anything to happen to her.
What is to be expected in her future?
I know that the cause is due to her smoking so please I really dont wanna hear its her fault for smoking.
I dont know what to say or do. Im pretty sure shes getting chemotherapy done. A few months ago she told me they found something that could lead to cancer but she told me not to worry. So, I thought she was ok because she had some kind of procedure/surgery done to supposedly prevent that from happening. Anyway, shes been taking lots and I mean lots medications lately and shes been keeping to herself. Shes at the hospital all the time, all day and has been telling me theres gonna be a lot more days like this. Shes not letting me see her much and when I talk to her on the phone she sounds like shes in so much pain just moaning and crying. Im afraid because she also said something she had been taking was affecting a heart condition of hers. Im scared shes hiding cancer/chemotherapy treatment which sucks because I know its a touchy subject but Im so in the dark about her health right now. I dont know if she has cancer or not. How do I approach this? Weve been together 2 years. We’re both so young. 22 years old :( Im scared for her right now. She says she doesnt want to talk about or discuss whats going on with me or anyone. How do I approach something so delicate like this? I havent been able to sleep at all. Help..
In most cases, urologists says that sexual abstinence has no negative effects, because the body has the ability to reabsorb the exceeding seminal fluid, and sometimes it is expelled through ‘wet dreams’. Some oriental practitioners even teach us that ejaculation is not good for health and weakens the body, and developed some techniques to avoid ejaculation during sexual stimulation. However, many articles suggests that holding the seminal fluid in the body is unhealthy, and may lead even to cancer prostate. It is true?
I am a social smoker. Usually 2 at a time when I drink or out with friends. On average I smoke no more than 3 cigarettes a week. This obviously isnt good for my health. Does this behavior increase my chances of lung cancer or other diseases the same way smoking a pack a day can?
A friend of mine has a myeloproliferative blood disorder, which is the overproduction of blood cells. Is this the start of leukemia?
What should she expect in terms of her health? Please share your stories, if you have experienced anything like this.
She is about to start chemotherapy and wanted to get feeback from folks who have gone through something similar.
