i’m 21 and being smoking 7yrs i think. i plan on quitting this week but something i read about "lung cancer begins growing 20 years before diagnosis" or something like that has made me a little anxious so im wondering has it already began to grow in my lungs?
Has anyone, or do you know anyone that has beat lung cancer of this type? Thanks for answers.
This person has not smoked for 25 yrs, and is male and over 60.
They were not given the stage of the cancer by the doctor. I would venture to say it was an early diagnosis from the timetable that they spoke of.
I would like to know what signs you had prior to a diagnosis. My sister had tests done, no results until Tuesday. Her symptoms are migraines, back pain, bruising, blood in urine and fatigue. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any info would be great.
I know that you can’t give me a diagnosis online, but what do you think?
So my friend thinks she has leukemia. I don’t know if shes right, but shes Never been super concerned about her own health before. She has been experiencing: Fatique, pale skin, unexplained bruising, no appetite and weight loss, joint pain, and occasional bleeding gums. Should she get a blood test? She doesn’t know how to tell her parents and I’m worried about her.
I have a strong family history of prostate cancer (father & older brother). I am now over 65 and my PSA tests have remained at normal levels I have that test and a rectal exam by a urologist done annually. I’ve heard recently that pomegranate juice may be of value in treating men wiith prostate cancer whose cancer is still progressing despite radiation and/or hormonal therapy. What I’d like to know is this:
(1) Is there any evidence that it might help in preventing or delaying onset of the disease? and
(2) Is there any indication it could interfere with early diagnosis by skewing the PSA test?

My ex-sister in law just found out that she has a very aggressive lung cancer which is now in both lungs the doctors said today. Do people actually survive this type of diagnosis? Can Chemo help her? They said she has less then a year with chemo and less then 3 mths without it………..
Believe me……I would go and help her if I could. We live in different states. I just found out the news today. I feel so very bad for her and her family! She is good people. Any prays would be very well accepted! : )
My heart gos out to you guys that have lost loved ones to this evil diease. Thank you for your replys.
What is the best way to help her?
“There’s no doubt that if the cancer is picked up early, it gives many more treatment options than if it’s picked up later.” Dr. Tewari (leader in prostate cancer research and surgery) of Cornell Urology discusses the critical importance of early detection in prostate cancer and the benefits it has for prostate cancer patients.
