Had first FEC Chemotherapy treatment (adjuvant chemotherapy)
Started to develop a flu on day 4 after chemotherapy
Received antibiotics
Slightly overweight
WBC count 1.3 – mild Neutropenia even after taking Neulasta the day after chemotherapy
Could the Neulasta dosage (6 mg) have been insufficient due to weight and does it make sense to try to administer several dosages of Neupogen?
I just found out last week my dad has cancer. I am a only child and my dads only family here. He is not a us resident and needs chemotherapy for his cancer. Does anyone know of anyplaces in Florida where I can get some type of help for him? I am a single mother with a full time job and cannot take off too much time from work so any advice will be very appriciated.
My boyfriend of six years just found out in July 2005 that he has pancrease cancer. He has already had chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Unfortuantly it did not work at all so the doctors tried a different form of chemo but that too failed as it made him so weak he couldn’t hardley get out of bed. I have a very low immune system since I had chemotherapy, radiation, and other breast cancer treatments and surgeries. Since I finished chemo and radiation less than a year ago, I have had shingles, meningitis, and have had to fight 2 infections in my left breast that had the radiation in it and will have to go in for surgery to have the implant removed, and replaced. I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired. What can I do? Also, gained 40 lbs and hate the weight gain.

My girlfriend just got diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, they caught it VERY early, but she will most likely need to go through chemotherapy… Are their any medications that do NOT cause hair loss? I do not think hair loss is a big deal… But, she does. So I’m just wondering. I know a lot don’t, so i’m just wondering if their are any chemotherapeautic medications that will not cause hair loss for bone cancer?
