I’m 31 years old, and was recently diagnosed as severe anemic. I’ve been taking extra iron for awhile now (by advice of my doctor) but lately i’ve been noticing bruises. I just found a couple more today. I’m super tired all the time, I get the recommended amount of sleep, and i’m still tired. Like today, I slept 8 hours last night, then I still had 2 naps, and I was/am still tired. Every now and then i’ll have a pain on my left side (stomach area)…it isn’t constant, so I didn’t really worry about it. Sometimes at night i’m very hot, and have to have my AC on pretty low in order to feel comfortable. I’m calling my doctor tomorrow to make an appoitment, but I was wondering what everyone’s thoughts were? I’m 31, and thought that at my age it wasn’t usually normal to get cancer. My grandmother did die of cancer though if it is hereditery. My mom says not to worry about it, but I can’t help but be worried. Thanks!
I have severe anemia already and am taking iron supplements provided by my doctor but still having other symptoms that are not associated with anemia. (bruising, night sweats/fevers, etc.)
I mean, someone I know was diagnosed with cancer and chemotherapy doesn’t work, so the doctor said he’ll use steroids to see the results, anyone can tell me why?
I want to get a kitten, but my family says that it is dangerous due to the fact that my uncle has cancer. He’s been ungoing chemo for quite some time now, and apparently his doctor told him that it’s unsafe to have a cat?
However, we have two dogs? So I’m curious, what’s the difference between cats and dogs?
The way I see it, as long as the house is kept clean and the litterbox is kept on the second floor (far away from where he sleeps, eats, etc) and it is regularly cleaned by myself and avoided by him- wouldn’t there be a very minimal risk?
How is leukemia transmitted? I know this might be a stupid question but I really don’t know, is it just genetic or like it just grows in you because it’s cancer?
no hate comments please, thanks
I knew someone that had leukemia and she had bruises all over her body. But is that a sign or an affect from radiation treatments?
I’m a teenager and I want to know what the most common(if any) cancer in "younger people" is. How dangerous that cancer(and leukemia) is. And what the symptoms are(and symptoms of leukemia too). Please help me! I need answers ASAP.
I am going to be starting chemo treatment next and I have read that some chemotherapy drugs can cause additional cancers later(especially the kind that has been prescribed for me to take). This really terrifies me alot. Whether I don’t take it, it can come back and whether I do take it, it can come back. It seems like no matter what decision I make I am still at risk for cancer coming back. What should I do?
And serious answers only please. We are talking about my health here.
This is the third time Im posting this. Let me explain more deeply. I am doing a project on cancer for school, I have chosen to do leukemia. After researching leukemia, I noticed that I couldent find any information as to if it is possible to have bruising (Or petachea(spelling?)) as a side effect of leukemia, BUT not have excessive bleeding. In other words: Must one have both bruising as a symptom and excessive bleeding, or can you just have bruising (or petechae) with normal clotting response to cuts and wounds? Since low platlet levels cause the bruising, wouldent it take longer for ones wounds to heal (as leukemia can cause)? Thank you.
Yes Im sorry, I know the difference. I just ment both bruising and petachae(sp?). Thanks though.
I posted this for my mom, she’s 40 years old & This is the second time shes been in chemotherapy,Her cancer came back. Could she stay in remission?
A relative of mine has just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy. surgery is not an option as the cancer has already spread to the liver.
My wife, my sister in law and I are going to Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, India. Please, advise where we can be accommodated for 5 to 6 weeks while my sister in law is treated a cancer (radio and chemotherapy). We’re looking for either a flat with 1 or 2 rooms or 2 rooms in a safe, clean and affordable hotel, near TMC.
Thank you so much.
