My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer last thursday. the told him over the phone, and did not specify which type of cells were found via biopsy. i am accompanying to his 1st oncology appointment, what questions should we ask his doc? does anyone who has been in my position have any advice as to how i can be supportive?

I have been tested as a high risk for prostate cancer. Instead of the pain full biopsy wouldn’t it be best to just have my prostate removed?

I’ve peed a lot in the past hour. I’m starting to freak out because I heard that if you’re peeing a lot, you could have prostate cancer. I think that usually men in the forties are the ones who get prostate cancer.

I have an understanding that leukemia deals with the overproduction of leukocytes (white blood cells). And yet, what’s wrong with that? I think that leukemia is a type of cancer.. so if it is then how does bone marrow stop the cancer? Thanks for considering this question.

I found a source that said chemotherapy is not effective at all for pancreatic cancer- however this claim is outdated (1990).
